Event & Conference Filming
Multi-camera coverage, live streaming and same-day highlight edits for conferences, keynotes and awards.
An event happens once. The keynote lands or it does not, the award moment passes in four seconds, and nobody gets to run it again because a camera was in the wrong place. That is the whole job: being ready before the thing happens.
I spent years directing live multi-camera broadcasts for television, where a missed cue is visible to everyone watching. A conference or an awards night needs exactly that discipline. Calm under pressure, nothing dropped, and a crew that has already worked out what happens when the schedule slips by twenty minutes.
The practical difference shows up in the edit. Because I shoot knowing how the footage will cut together, the highlight reel is not a rescue job. It is the film I was planning from the first setup, which is why it can be with you the same evening rather than three weeks later.
Most clients want two things from an event: proof it happened at this quality, and material that keeps working afterwards. So the full session recordings go to the people who missed it, and the short cuts go to LinkedIn while everyone still remembers being there.
Who this is for
Conference and summit organisers
Multiple sessions, multiple rooms, a running order that will change on the day. You need coverage that keeps up without becoming the centre of attention.
Teams running an awards night or gala
The reactions matter more than the stage. Two cameras means you keep the winner's face as well as the handshake.
Associations and membership bodies
Your members paid to be in the room, and the ones who could not come still want the talks. Full recordings turn one day into a year of content.
Companies with an internal event worth keeping
All-hands, kick-off, a leadership address. Filmed properly, it reaches the people on shift, on leave and in another country.
Everything in your Event & Conference Filming
What lands in your inbox
- The full recording of every session, cleanly cut and clearly named
- A highlight film, typically 90 to 120 seconds, the same day or the next morning
- Vertical cuts of the strongest moments, ready for LinkedIn and Instagram
- The clean audio feed taken from the sound desk, not from a camera at the back of the room
- The stream recording, if we streamed, in a form you can re-upload or put behind a login
A simple, calm process
Recce & plan
We go through the running order, the rooms, the audio setup and the moments that actually matter. I plan the camera positions around those.
Capture
Cameras in position before the doors open, audio from the desk, and a calm presence at the back of the room for as long as the day runs.
Highlights
Editing starts while the event is still on, so the highlight film can be ready the same evening if that is what you need.
Full delivery
Full sessions, highlights and vertical cuts, named clearly enough that your team can find the right file a year from now.
What moves the price
Every quote is itemised, so you can see what each part costs. The pricing page has the full menu.
How many cameras
One camera covers a keynote. Two or three lets you cut between speaker, slides and audience, which is what makes a recording watchable rather than merely complete.
How long the day runs
A two-hour awards ceremony and a two-day conference are different jobs in setup, crew and edit time.
Whether it goes out live
Streaming adds an encoder, a wired connection, a rehearsal and someone whose only job during the event is watching the stream.
How fast you need the edit
Same-evening turnaround means editing while the event is still running. Next week is calmer and costs less.
Common questions
Yes. I stream to YouTube, LinkedIn, Vimeo or a private link, with the graphics and branding built in. For anything important we do a technical rehearsal on the day, and I bring a backup connection so the stream does not depend on the venue wifi.
Same-day is possible and I do it regularly: the edit runs alongside the event and the film is with you before you leave the venue. Next-morning delivery is the comfortable option. Longer session edits usually follow within a week.
Single-camera coverage starts from £900 for a half day including the edit. Multi-camera with a live stream and a same-day highlight typically lands between £1,800 and £3,000 depending on the length and the number of sessions. The pricing page breaks the parts out.
It usually does, and it is planned for. I quote for the realistic length rather than the printed running order, and if the day overruns significantly we agree the extra on the spot instead of surprising you with it in the invoice.
No. Cameras go on long lenses at the back and the sides, audio comes from the sound desk, and I dress like a delegate. Most attendees do not notice there is a crew, which is exactly the point.
Yes, with more than one operator. If three rooms run in parallel and all three matter, we plan the coverage and the crew in advance. If only the plenary matters, one camera and a good audio feed will do the job.
